Swarovski introduced 3 Tiger figurines for the Swarovski Crystal Society (SCS). Joining the SCS is easy and opens up a world of crystal. Of course, 2010 features the Tiger. Swarovski chose the golden tiger to highlight their work in conservation. The golden tiger is the most rare of the surviving species of tigers. Swarovski is hoping to help conservation efforts through support of the Living Ganges Project. |

People born in the Year of the Tiger 2010...1998...1986...1974...1962...1950...1938...1926...1914...1902 Tiger people are sensitive, given to deep thinking, capable of great sympathy. They can be extremely short-tempered, however. Other people have great respect for them, but sometimes tiger people come into conflict with older people or those in authority. Sometimes Tiger people cannot make up their minds, which can result in a poor, hasty decision or a sound decision arrived at too late. They are suspicious of others, but they are courageous and powerful. Tigers are most compatible with Horses, Dragons, and Dogs. (from http://www.c-c-c.org/chineseculture/zodiac/tiger.htm)

Seattle Gift Show, January 2010

We just got back from the Seattle Gift Show and had a blast talking to some of our favorite artists and reps as well as meeting new people.
As always, we love seeing Jody Bergsma (a Bellingham, WA artist). She's come out with some amazing new images including a cat and a pair of tigers! She's also come out with some new products! We ordered some new frames, tiles and coasters. And we are very excited about the new ornaments she's created - we'll be ordering those for the holidays!

Some of you may remember the wood wildflowers from a couple of years ago. They are completely hand-made in Minnesota and show off the beauty of the wood in a home décor item that is both feminine and masculine at the same time! We are excited to bring these art pieces back into the store in time for Mother's Day!

We found these amazing wooden boxes hand-made in Columbia. It's hard to provide a description that does justice to the beauty of these boxes. They are hinged on the sides with lids that part along a lady's profile or intricate abstract swirls. The colors are amazing and immediately drew us in!

To complement our Silver Forest earrings, we ordered Jody Coyote earrings. These exquisitely hand-crafted earrings will go from casual to more formal settings. And their price point is amazing (usually $15-$20)!
Of course we ordered some of our favorite gift and home décor items from Lampe Berger, Rinconada, and the wall tiles. In our Baby Boutique, we added to our Bunnies by the Bay and Jellycat lines.

We are very excited to share these new pieces with you! As always, please feel free to call, email, or stop in with any questions, comments, or special orders.
